About Classes
Kempsey Macleay Valley U3A Inc offers a variety of classes / courses throughout the year.

How long are classes?
- Classes are organised into:
- Four terms per year which are usually the same as school terms with a break between each term
- Term dates can be found on the Notice Board page of this website
- 6-8 weeks per term
- Typically 2-3 hours per week
- A few classes do not take breaks between terms
- Most classes run for the full year but some classes only run for one or two terms or part of a term
- If you enrol in a class that runs for the full year you will automatically be enrolled for each term
- If you decide not to continue in a class you can email us or inform the tutor who will un-enrol you
- Occasionally there are one day or weekend classes
How much do classes cost?
Classes have a class fee equivalent to $5 per term.
Depending on the class there may be several fee options available allowing you to choose: eg $5 for a class that only runs for 1 term; or for classes that run for the whole year: $10 for 2 Terms / $20 for the whole year (4 terms) etc.
Fee options will be displayed in the class description and you will be able to choose a fee when you enrol, either on the PDF enrolment form or when enrolling online.
Fees are not refundable.
Class fees are due before you attend your first class, which is generally at the beginning of each term.
Fees cover the costs of providing the venue, printed material etc, depending on the requirements of each course.
Is the class suitable for me?
Members are responsible for ensuring the class is suitable for their own physical abilities and requirements. If you have any queries please discuss with the tutor and / or your doctor before enrolling.

When do I enrol?
Enrolment Is usually made at the beginning of the year or a term, but can be made at any time if there is a vacancy in the class. You must be a member of KMVU3A to enrol in a class. If enrolling online - after enrolling in classes - the system will check if you are a current paid up member and require you to join or renew if not and if due, add the membership fee to your Total amount owing.

Do you have a suggestion for a class or could you be a leader?
We welcome new ideas about courses from our members.
Maybe you are interested in finding out more about a particular area of knowledge or have an idea for a social or exercise activity? Tell us and maybe we can find a leader and make it happen!

OR
Maybe you could be a class leader. If you have a passion for something or a particular area of expertise - others might be interested in your knowledge. Maybe you could run a course passing on your passion. Please consider and discuss with a committe member.

- you are interested in becoming a course leader to pass on some of your knowledge
